Felton Park Glasshouse commended by the Royal Institute of British Architects
22 December 2015
We are delighted to announce that the Felton Park Glasshouse recently received a commendation at the Royal Institute of British Architects awards. We had the pleasure of working as the main contractor on this project alongside owner, Tim Maxwell and architects, Spence and Dower.
Felton Park Glasshouse dates from around 1830 and is set within a beautiful walled garden. Its unique structure uses curved wrought iron glazing and fish scale glass, a groundbreaking technique, pioneered by the great garden designer and hothouse expert, John Claudius Loudon.
Our work on the Glasshouse involved masonry, glazing and roofing work and represents the largest contract we’ve been involved in since we started trading back in 2011.
