John Rylands Library, Manchester Grade 1 Listed

Grade 1 Listed John Rylands Library, now part of The University of Manchester, is home to one of the world’s finest collections of rare books and manuscripts.

The library is a masterpiece of Victorian Gothic architecture and is finished to the highest possible standards using the finest materials, hand crafted throughout by time served craftsmen.

Calibre Metalwork were enlisted to replicate an ornate bronze door handle to the reading room. We utilised the lost wax casting process in order to achieve the levels of detail and accuracy required to replicate the intricate solid bronze castings to the highest standard.
